Summary
of work
Scenic Artist - Painted 3 shows: "Born Yesterday", "1776", and "The Servant of Two Masters". In Servant I was chosen to be the lead scenic artist. I painted 4 walls on both sides in various faux finishing techniques. I used stucco for texture and finished the exterior walls with a distressed paint finish. On the interior walls, I cut and used a stencil to create wallpaper. Other finishes included: 2 types of marble, woodgraining doors, egg and dart moulding, and faux stain glass. In addition to the walls, two large (18x20), and (8x10) feet ancient maps of Venice had to be created. In 1776, I primarily painted the woodgrained floor and some of the windows. In Born Yesterday I painted the marble floor and some of the marble walls. I also painted the stage floor in a faux marble tile pattern. |
